FRANKLIN, TENN. February 8, 2022 – Lineage Bank, a multi-branch community bank located in Franklin, Tennessee, has announced the addition of their newest board member, Cynthia Whitfield-Story.

Her insight into the Franklin Community and her business experience will be an extremely valuable asset to us here at Lineage Bank,” said President & CEO Kevin Herrington. “We set out to create the next great community bank with Lineage, and that mission starts with the outstanding members of our board. Having Cynthia join the team will certainly help us in achieving that mission.”
Whitfield-Story began her career as a Claims Representative at Allstate in 1981. A short time later, she moved up the ranks to Accounting Supervisor, Accounting Unit Manager, Accounting Division Manager, and was selected to a Leadership Development Program in the Finance Department. After serving in this Program for three years, she moved into the Risk Management side of the business where she held the titles of Regional Education Manager, Division Manager, Field Product Department Manager, Business Center Department Manager, and Director of Risk Management.
In 2009, while still with Allstate, she became the Assistant VP of Risk Management Strategy, and Execution, where she was responsible for countrywide strategy for risk management policy. One year later, she was transferred to Nashville, TN as the Assistant Vice President of the Southern Region. In 2013, she was promoted to Senior Field VP for a five-state territory, which included Tennessee, and managed a nearly $ 2 billion P&L and 2,500 sales professionals. In 2020, Whitfield-Story founded INSPIRE1, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in business consulting, executive coaching, leadership development, and leveraging diversity, equity and inclusion.

Whitfield-Story graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Business Administration and received her master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. She currently serves as the board chair-elect at the YMCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee, as a board member for FiftyForward, and is a graduate of Leadership Nashville. Previously, she was the board chair of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee. Whitfield-Story currently lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband, Charles Story.
